Vase to Pray Exhibition 2025 Peaceful Dialogue: Nagasaki and the Netherlands To be held at PW/GALLERY, Nagasaki in July 2025
In this special year marking 80 years since the events that changed Nagasaki's history, the "Vase to Pray Exhibition 2025" will be held at PW/GALLERY in Hamanomachi, Nagasaki.
The Vase to Pray Project is a peace-focused art initiative. It features a porcelain piece recreated from a deformed glass bottle that endured extreme heat during a major historical event in Nagasaki. This artwork serves as both a symbol of remembrance and a way to reflect on the importance of peace.
This exhibition follows the project's first international presentation, held in The Hague and Amsterdam earlier this summer.
The Nagasaki exhibition will feature:
• Video interviews with visitors from the Netherlands
• A short documentary showing the development of the project
• An interactive installation where visitors can place flowers in the Vase to Pray
This exhibition offers a space where peace-focused dialogue between cultures can continue to flourish. We warmly invite you to visit.
